Congratulations! The programming change was a bold move. The content seems more focused; doesn’t seem to be trying to please everybody. There are other stations that will continue to fuel the conversations of the irritated but may or may not add anyting new to the perspective or the spin. I find Levine to be a bit too high-spirited for 10:00PM, so I will pass.

i have misplaced my portable radio. i wish you would get a sponsor that would sell cheap portable am radios. if obama wants to shut down talk radio all they need to do is stop selling am radios. bose is way to expensive for me especially if i misplace them and i need one that fits nicely and inconspicuously in my pocket, (i listen at work).

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT OBAMA HAS THE POWER TO
STOP THE MANUFACTURER FROM PROCESSING AM RADIO’S? IF IT COMES TO THAT–HE WILL BE ON HIS WAY
OUT FOR SURE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL MAKE SURE OF THAT. GOD BLESS AMERICA

When will coast to coast be returning to 10 pm? I very much miss it!

Sandra Torres
June 29, 2010 6:55 pm

I am so happy that Coast to Coast is going to come back on at
10:00 p.m. soon. I have listened to Coast almost every night for many years. Coast listeners are dedicated to the program which keeps them informed on whats going on in the world today. Coast is much better than main stream media.

What a relief! Got on here to lambast somebody and don’t have to. Coast to Coast will be back on at 10 pm and it had better be soon! I’ve listened for years at 10 pm and what a shock when you changed it to midnight! Everything has to change but please NOT the 10 pm Coast to Coast program! Please don’t play these games!

Leave Wayne (WAR) on for the Afternoon Show!! He is good. Get him a “partner” or someone he can bounce-off of. I think I would rather see Alan in the background.

Sandra Torres
July 13, 2010 5:26 pm

Dena are you serious, Alan is a legend–he has been here in Las Vegas radio for a long time. I listened to him when he used to have the afternoon show at the beginning. Alan is part of KXNT–they can’t do without him. The station would have a large hole to fill to replace him. He is great for reporting what’s going on in Las Vegas. He has become famous to most of us. Dena, where have you been.

Just read the post about Coast to Coast returning. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You… I have been listening since the early 90′s & feel lost without it every night. I posted here a few weeks ago but it was deleted for some reason?

July 15, 2010 4:43 am

I’ve heard Alan is back on in the afternoons only temporarily, that he will be back in the mornings and that once again, we’ll get to listen to the high-pitched whine of the self-described “Great One,” Mark Levine at 3 PM. Good thing, I was getting worried, we certainly wouldn’t want to hear anything but far, far right-wing talk radio, does any other kind of talk radio even exist?

Yeager
July 16, 2010 4:46 am

Wayne who? LOL, I had never heard ‘WAR’ until recently and all I can say is, where do they mass produce these right-wing squawkers, there must be a factory somewhere…….

Thanks you

Does anyone at KXNT ever turn on a radio and check what you are broadcasting?
Saturday night (and every Sat and Sun for weeks) at 10:04 we heard dead silence for about 2 minutes. Followed by the start of Coast to Coast -AND- the comercials that I must assume are suppose to be run durring the 2 minutes of dead air. Both running at the same time. I can’t imagine your advertisers are any happier with this than I am. Please wake up your engineer and get him/her to fix this.

Sandra Torres
July 20, 2010 10:01 pm

This is for PBS–I was just happy that Coast to Coast was coming on at 10:00. I can’t say that much for the week nights.
When is Coast to Coast going to come back on at 10:00 every night? ” Oh – Wake up the engineer.”

I USED TO use you all the time to listen to Rush – - local news, local vendors, no problem.
Now you have a new way to connect. Frankly it sucks. Really sucks.
I now listen to Rush out of a Nw York station that I can access with literally no difficulty and no “looping.”
Just thought you should know.

Anyone catch Alan’s interview with John Ensign the other day? Ensign’s vote against extending unemployment benefits was again the topic and once again, Alan forgot to ask the question that is screaming to be asked: ‘Senator Ensign, if you voted against extending unemployment benefits because it will add to the deficit, why did you vote for two Bush tax cuts, two wars and a trillion dollars of new spending, none of which was ‘paid for’ and all of which added to the deficit?’

See Alan, now how hard was that?

I am very disappointed that KNXT made the decision to take George Noory / Coast to Coast off the 10 pm spot . This is very upsetting to me & senior citizens who depended on Coast to Coast for their late evening entertainment. Can you Mr. Station Manager , see it in your heart to bring back Coast to Coast in the 10 pm spot : where it has been for many years??? If possible, there are many that would be appreciative of your efforts. Thanks in advance for any thing you can do for us. Tom

Someone is obviously asleep at the switch. One would think every weekend is a little much. Saturday nights are very interesting. Sort of like a brain teaser, if you will. You guys challenge me to pick the content while two different programs are playing simultaneously. I get it, “focus.” When I’m on, I can tune out the rogue content….

July 25, 2010 4:45 am

Uh Tom, see above…….OK, I get it, everyone here is crazy, correct? What is with the obsession with this Coast to Coast idiocy? Folks, I can assure you, absolutely NOTHING that anybody on that program says or does will have any effect on your lives, zero, zilch and nada! However, I can further assure you, the fact that hypocrites like Senator John Ensign are voting to filibuster extending unemployment benefits will affect every single person in this country receving these benefits. Or maybe that isn’t as important as some nut from Pahrump spreading UFO theories……oh wait a minute, that was the last guy, wasn’t it? Let me guess, you all loved Art Bell too?

    Sandra Torres
    July 26, 2010 7:26 pm

Mr. Yeager, Apparently you don’t listen to Coast with all the other 6 million who listen every night. I happen to learn alot listening to George Noorey. Only intellegent people listen – you must have the same thinking that WAYNE has. He is the guy
who called into Alan Stock show when he was in the morning broadcast. Maybe you now him. You think like him. Oh Art Bell is a great too. Really like Coast to Coast. You should listen.

      Yeager
      July 27, 2010 4:43 am

Hi Sandra, I appreciate the response and I also appreciate the heads-up on discovering who the ‘intelligent people’ are…….

6 million people eh, I believe it, Limbaugh reportedly has between 14-18 million so 6 sounds about right.

Quick aside, I’d bet if one could have measured ratings back in the days of other famous radio demagogues, Father Coughlin and the like, I’d bet those numbers would dwarf todays.

But Sandra, come on, at least Limbaugh’s listeners have a sense of real issues, albeit a warped, perverted sense but a sense nonetheless, I’m not sure I could say that about shows like Coast to Coast. But you are right, I don’t listen so maybe I’m wrong. But I don’t think so.

But again, thanks for the reply.

July 29, 2010 4:45 am

It’s unbelievable, everywhere I go I see these ‘Anyone Butt Harry’ signs and on KXNT, same thing, it’s always the latest outrage by Harry Reid, yet if I’m not mistaken isn’t our other United States Senator a fella name of John Ensign? Has anyone happened to hear about any problems Senator Ensign has had the last couple of years?

So my question, how can it be all about Harry when our other senator is under federal investigation and has basically disgraced himself? I just don’t believe John Ensign was spending much time representing the great state of Nevada when he was calling his mommy and daddy to beg for a 100K to send to his mistress and her husband, both of whom worked for him.

Kent Clifford
July 29, 2010 3:26 pm

I AM MORMON
I am a Mormon and always will be. I know Senator Harry Reid and I like him. He is a nice individual with a lovely wife and children who are a credit to society.
That being said; I do not agree with Harry Reid’s politics’. I vehemently disagreed with him when he made a public statement in Salt Lake City stating Ezra Taft Benson was a fallen prophet. I have read President Benson’s writings and his biography and I testify to the world that he was and is a prophet of God.
Again, I vehemently disagreed with Senator Reid when he bribed three sitting Senators to gain their vote with our tax money for the recently passed health care bill. You and I would go to prison for bribing a senator, but if a politician bribes a senator they justify it as politics. I am also opposed to the health care bill, the more we find out the more I am opposed. This bill was not debated; the people of our state and nation had no say in the bill. Our voices were not heeded and more importantly our voices were heard but totally and intentionally ignored. Neither Senator Reid nor his colleagues read the bill before they passed it.
Because of the careless spending going on in Washington D.C. our nation is on the brink of bankruptcy. There will be no one capable of bailing our nation out. There are many countries in the world who want us to fail and the politicians in Washington D.C. are doing everything within their power to make this happen.
The real unemployment rate in the nation is around 19% but the left leaning government will not tell you this, in Las Vegas, Nevada it is more like 25%. You should be the judge of why the official government unemployment statistical information is always under reported.
Senator Reid knows and understands Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two of the primary players in the housing crises. They are still hemorrhaging tax payer money by millions each month, with no controls or investigations by congress or the senate.
It is past time we make a change that means something. Please let’s vote them out! I urge all my fellow Nevadans to make a change that will make a Huge difference.
Let’s put a new face in the United States Senate!

Kent Clifford
Las Vegas, Nevada

Sandra Torres
July 30, 2010 3:07 am

Mr. Clifford – I agree with everything you have stated. Harry Reid believes in everything that we don’t. He has let us all down. Now Orin Hatch is another story. If only Harry had just a pinch of integrity that Hatch has then he would have gotten my vote, but he hasn’t. Harry has done nothing for us in Nevada.
Anyone but Harry. We are so disappointed in his actions in the Senate–He has sold us out to to the extreme left Democrate
Party. I look back at the way the democrates used to be in the 50′s & 60′s. What happend to the John Kennedy’s in the party.
It scares me to see what has happened to our country. We don’t need more of Harry-he has done enough damage.

I don’t get it. Your audience is a talk radio audience, but now all I hear is news in the morning. Things keep going downhill. I tried to listen to your morning show a couple times since you switched everything around and all I hear is this guy telling me to go onto your website every five minutes. I’m driving in my car for PETES SAKE!

Then a few weeks ago things seemed to pick up and you put some different people on. I listend a few times and it wasnt half bad. And now I tune in and here that one announcer back just telling me to listen in the afternoon and go to your website constantly its just one big commercial. Consider me a lost and confuzed listener.

Annie, you are right. Too much news. Hey Alan, we miss you on the 8:O’clock flip off. I don’t think you know how many people listen to you in the morning going to work. I turn my radio on when I would get to work at 5: o’clock and left it on.

Yeager
August 3, 2010 4:43 am

Hmm, let’s try this again, I thought I posted something yesterday morning, I guess not….

I just have to ask Kent Clifford, I really don’t care but I have a hard time believing Harry Reid made any public statements about ‘false prophets’ but my real question, what in the world does that have anything to do with you ‘not agreeing with Harry Reid’s politics?’

And ‘bribe’ is a pretty strong word, it’s also illegal so I’d also love to see some evidence of that one too.

Look, I could give you a boat load of statistics on the economy and who is really responsible for what, but I’ll just give you one little nugget here-the day this president took office, now get this, we were LOSING 750,000 jobs every month. Think about that for a minute, 750K jobs a month gone. Now, I don’t have the exact figure now but I’d like you to go check the latest figures on jobs, we are actually gaining jobs now. Now, you go look at those statistics Kent and then you come back here and explain to us how replacing Senator Reid and going back to Republican rule, lost jobs and tax cuts for rich people, would be a good thing.

And the health care bill was ‘not debated?’ You are kidding, right? I’ve got two words for you, “death panels.” Oh it was ‘debated’ all right, and for the most part not in a very constructive way but it surely was debated.

    Sandra Torres
    August 3, 2010 7:56 pm

Mr. Yeager, I am not Clifford, but I would like to know if you have
ever heard of a poor man hiring anyone to work for him. It is the wealthy that supply the jobs to the middle class here in America. This is Capitalism not Obama Socialism. Obama’s
idea is costing us millions of jobs. Look around you here in Las
Vegas–Harry Read bought into this idea of socialism. We don’t
want it or his health care. Harry shoved this down our thoats
weather we need it or not. You can’t force us to buy into it.
Watch and see what the State of Virginia does and see how
many other states are going to follow in the law suit. I still say,
“Anyone but Harry Reid”. We need to get him out.

I hear rumors that the owners want to get rid of Jack FM so they can simulcast KXNT on the FM side of the dial. Is this true? if it is I think it would be a big mistake. Jack FM is a great station and when I’m not listening to KXNT I listen to Jack. Would there be any way to protest this?

    Adam
    August 25, 2010 1:19 pm

Appears like reality was a concept overlooked and ignored in whatever study that prompted the switch from a highly popular music format to an opinion/rant format. Not even a different, unique station either- only a simulcast. Keep sending emails to the old Jack website, this website, and the CBS radio website detailing your displeasure. It is what the whole “Contact Us” button on any webpage is meant for. I do agree with you- simulcast in this case is an absolutely horrible idea. What was wrong with having a radio station which had NO talk? I have nothing against KXNT or its listeners, but people are smart enough to find what interests them on any radio dial. We can hope CBS radio will discover axing a very popular radio station that they have lost a substantial amount of listeners in the Las Vegas Valley. No Jack FM? I will send a message by deleting 100.5 from my presets and will put up with annoying DJs on other music stations. CDs and MP3 players also work just fine. All the old Jack FM listeners will do the same, because that is the choices we have now.

Yeager
August 4, 2010 4:40 am

Hi Sandra and once again, I appreciate the response. One thing though, could you drop the ‘Mr.?’ LOL

So my job statistics didn’t do anything for you, doesn’t mean anything to you? ‘Capitalism’ is about many things but one of those things is JOBS and because of the policies of President Obama and Senator Reid, we have gone from losing 750,000 jobs every month to now gaining jobs every month. That is significant.

Health care, do me a favor Sandra, go check the latest statistics on where the US ranks in health care spending and how healthy we are. And I’ll give an example, we spend, per person, almost 3 times as much as countries like France and here’s the real kicker-they live longer, healthier lives. We are being looted in this country and it’s time somebody said so!!

    Sandra Torres
    August 4, 2010 8:03 pm

Yeager; Alan Stock just said on his show today that Harry Reid
has cost Las Vegas alot of jobs. Alan know the statistics. You
show me where the jobs are in Las Vegas. We have never seen
this economy in Las Vegas in my life time. Small business is not hiring because of the uncertain future in banks, taxes and
health care. Show me the jobs. Oh, who wants to be like France. Not me! Did you know that the UK is taking a look at
their health care right now. They want to give more power to the
people. doctors and hospitals. The people want to get away from the socialized medicine. They don’t want to have to come to the US for their health care when they have a serious illness. Did you know that Nancy has called the Congress back into session to try and pass another stimulous package tomorrow. Where is the money coming from?? Bet ol Harry will step up to the line and vote for it. We are already close to bankrupt. ANYBODY BUT HARRY.

Yeager
August 5, 2010 4:44 am

Hi Sandra, thanks for the response.

Well now, if ‘Alan Stock said it,’ it must be true, is that what I’m supposed to believe? LOL, Alan says lots of things Sandra, some are true, most are not true and some are just bald face lies. I’m not saying Alan is a ‘liar,’ I’m saying he sometimes peddles things about Democrats that are bald face lies.

My point about jobs is this, we have gone from a complete disaster to at least headed in the right direction. This president was handed an economic disaster, every economist in the country will acknowledge that, I would argue the policies this president and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have put in place have helped us head in the right direction.

Anyway, enjoying the discussion but go look up those health care statistics, I believe the World Health Organization, WHO, might be a good place to start but I think you’ll be surprised. I’ll see if I can find you a link.

    Sandra Torres
    August 5, 2010 9:15 pm

Yeager; May I ask if you even listen to Alan Stock show?? Do
you listen to Rush, Sean Hannity or Mark Lavine?? If you think Alan is a liar most of the time, then why don’t you save your comments for a strictly demorcat radio station. Oh, that right they don’t have one because not of enough people listen to them to support one on the air ways. Most of their radio stations tanked. You have the right to comment but leave your
rude comments about KXNT radio broadcasters for somewhere
else. They are very talented individuals and deserve the respect
we can give them. They get threats all the time from people on
the far left wing dems, only lets don’t have it here. Alan spends
hours researching what he says and I am sure he knows the
truth about the democrats. You are on the wrong side of the
isle. Move over to my side where the smoke has cleared out.
Don’t stand with Harry Reid, he will lead you down the wrong
hallway to dissaster. Sorry Please vote for anyone but Harry.
Sharron is a best choice of the two.

Yeager
August 6, 2010 4:41 am

Sandra, I really hate to break this to you and this is something that Alan Stock does know and he’s trying his best to help but Sharron Angle is becoming a national joke. She can now be counted on to say something really wacky almost weekly and Republican Joe Scarborough recently said it best, ‘Nevada Republicans have selected the ONE person in their state who CAN’T beat Harry Reid.’

And yes, I have listened to Rush, can’t stomach that anymore but I do like to listen to Hannity, and I’d catch a half an hour of Levine, the self-proclaimed “Great One” when he was on at 3.

But I like Alan, he’s a good radio host, I just disagree with him almost all of the time and as far as his ‘research,’ well, like most conservatives, I’d say he researches the things he wants to believe and then stops the ‘research’ when it starts to become things he doesn’t believe. You know what I mean?

Anyway, thanks for the discussion.

    Yeager
    August 8, 2010 6:29 am

Oh, forgot something, that research thingy I accused conservatives of, ‘selective research,’ well, it turns out my side can be almost as bad. Now, I say ‘almost’ because my side does not have a Glen Beck, and that may be a bit unfair because I’m not sure anyone like Beck has ever existed before but like I said, my side is guilty too.

Yeager
August 10, 2010 4:39 am

I think people are starting to realize why Sharron Angle was reportedly twice voted ‘worst legislator’ in the Nevada Assembly, she seems to be not much more than your average religious zealot.

Believe me folks, this country is full of religious zealots, do we really want them passing laws?

    Sandra Torres
    August 10, 2010 9:59 pm

Yeager; Did you listen to the Alan Stock show today. Sharron
Angle was on. She has now got her election department formed
so now she can start her attacts on Harry Reid. I want her to turn into a Pit Bow and go after him. She needs to put him with
Nancy and Obama everyday in her ads. After that 26 billion they signed off today for the unions pensions I hope she goes
after Harry for supporting this one. Sharron sounded good today, I am sure she is now ready to take the office from Harry.
I am telling you, most people will vote for her just to get rid of
Harry. Anybody would be better than Harry. Vote for Sharron
Angle. Alan announced today that KXNT is going into the FM
broadcasting with CBS. They will have AM & FM. This is a first. Congrates

      Yeager
      August 11, 2010 4:40 am

Hi Sandra, thanks for the response.

I have a question Sandra, have you ever wondered how Harry Reid got to be Senate Majority Leader? It’s not a seniority thing, there are many Senators with more seniority, and I will acknowledge Harry is not exactly Mr. Personality, particularly on TV, so how is it that Harry Reid made it to Senate Majority Leader?

Instead of just mindlessly criticizing him all of the time, take some time and look-up how he has come this far. I’d bet you’d be surprised. But you aren’t going to do that, are you Sandra?

I’ll make this argument for Senator Reid, during the health care debate, when it came down to getting the votes needed to break Republican filibusters and push this legislation forward, Senator Reid came through, and I would make the further argument that he did it at his own peril, that polls in Nevada were showing health care reform was not popular and Harry Reid was doing himself no favors when he helped get this historic legislation signed into law, which most people would call political courage.

    Barry Mastrantonio
    August 12, 2010 11:06 am

Hey Yeager, it’s not religious zealots! It is common ordinary people who want to go back to the moral principles that this once great country was founded on. The minority in this country, through their complaining and crying, have steered this country into the cesspool it now is. Rock on Sharron Angle!

      Yeager
      August 13, 2010 4:42 am

Hi Barry, quick question, tell me when exactly this time we need “to go back to” actually occurred, at what point in our history did we display these “moral principles that this once great country was founded on?” And when specifically did we reach this “cesspool?”

By the way, Sharron Angle has gone from wanting to do away with Social Security, she said ‘it’s broken and can’t be fixed,’ to now claiming she ‘wants to save Social Security?’ Hmm, I wonder which is true, I wonder what she is really for? It’s hard to tell, isn’t it?

Sandra Torres
August 16, 2010 3:43 am

Yeager; Harry Reid always promises on thing and goes behind
the closed door and does another. He has taken great lessons
from Obama. Following Nancy around like a shadow listening to
her lies and deceiving plans to make those same promises and
coming up with just the opposite, Politician today cannot be
trusted to their word. Sharron is a new face atleast. Maybe she will try and keep her promises to the American people.
Rather take my chances with her–I know what Harry does. He
needs to go, Anyone but Harry.

    Yeager
    August 16, 2010 4:40 am

Sandra, let’s simplify this: do you know anybody currently receiving unemployment benefits? Have you ever received unemployment benefits? I say it can happen to anybody, especially in this economy, and Harry Reid recently just passed an extension of unemployment benefits over the objections and filibuster of Republicans.

Now, I don’t know if you know the reasons for these Republicans ‘objections’ but I say they were totally bogus reasons. Sharron Angle said she supported the Republican filibuster, that she supported these bogus objections, but Harry Reid got it passed anyway.

So who was on the right side of that issue Sandra? ‘Anyone but Harry?’ I say thank God for Harry!!

      Sandra Torres
      August 16, 2010 7:48 pm

Yeager; Yes my grandaughter, her husband got laid off at the
City Casino on the strip in November last year. Has no un-employment benefits or job right now. My daughter is on un-employment right now. All their families (bother and sisters and
parents are chiping in to help care for them. Their church is also
helping out . It is time for all people to be charitable and help family and neighbors through hard times. Now, My question to Harry Reid is — How are we going to repay this
debt you have voted for unless they raise the taxes and rip off all the american people and put us all into bonage to foreign money such as China for many many years. You think that we

KXNT. Dave can tell you what can happen if you spend too much money. You can go broke and belly up. This is where this country is going. May I recommed you listen to Dave.

Sandra, I had a great response and my cat just unplugged my computer!! Lucky for you!!!

What I wrote was I’d like you to look up three little words for me, ‘The Great Depression,’ because that’s what happened the last time we tried that ‘being charitable and helping your neighbors’ thing. Which is why federal safety nets were put in place, and by the way, since then we have become the strongest, most powerul country in the history of the world.

As for the debt, I’m not sure but you must have been enraged when first Ronald Reagan and then George W Bush doubled and tripled the national debt, am I right? And simply, this president was handed the worst economy since the Great Depression, he had no choice but to spend money, which every reputable economist in the country said he had to do. Give him time, it takes at least a couple of years to clean up 8 years of horrible economic policies.

      Sandra Torres

Yeager; Obama has spent more money than Reagan and Bush
and Clinton put together. I’ll even take back Bill Clinton over the
spending of Obama Admin. Even with all his excess baggage of
women. It is going to take more than a couple of years to clean this mess up. HIGH TAXES. I can’t wait until November to stop this pick pocket admin. It’s all about the money not the people.
Obama just will not consider the will of the people in this country. He could care less. I say always follow the money and you will see where it leads. Who is he working for anyway?? You are dreaming if you acrually think it is only going to take a couple of years. How about 10 years before you
see Vegas close to prosperity. The housing market and construction may take longer. I am not sure if the big Casino;s have the money to wait that long to make any money. And we really need the jobs. Obama need to take responsiblily and
quit blaming past admin, for his bad spending. He can’t get away with this forever. He just does not have what it takes to
turn this around. We need someone who really knows his stuff in economy and this admin just does not have it. Chicago style is not going to do it. God Bless America

Sandra, you just seem to be repeating Sean Hannity, or maybe even Rush himself talking points about this president, ‘spent more money than everyone combined,’ you must be kidding. And you’ve got the talking point wrong, he hasn’t ‘spent more money,’ he has run higher deficits than those 3 president’s combined. And he has done that for a very good reason, because the last president’s econmic policies, as President Obama has said, ‘drove us right into the ditch.’

    Sandra Torres
    August 19, 2010 7:32 pm

Yeager, Let’s see if I get this–Ran higher deficits–That to me means – spent more money in stimulus packages which will drive up the deficits to where Trillions of debt will be impossible to pay back. RIGHT. Hey-On the news today there is 500 Thousand more unemployment filed by non-workers this month.
The stimulous was to keep un-employment down and create new jobs. Opps! Hey Harry where are the new jobs for Las
Vegas. The money was to help with job creation. All that stimulous failed – All that money is now spent and what did it
do – nothing – Zilch – How many bankrupcys have been filed–Thousands. Democrates are in trouble. Some of them are starting to hide from Obama. The only good thing I saw this week is the Combat troops leaving Irak to come home. Finally
they won the war–Thank You President Bush. Did you see the soldier yelling We Won! We Won!. Now let’s get it done in
Afganistan. Obama never has been that impressed with our
military anyway. Hope he can see to support them until we win
there too. I do hate to see the $$$$ we have to spend to get it
    done though. God Bless America!

Hi Sandra, running short on time this morning but tell me, what was President Obama supposed to do when he came into office, and remember Sandra, again, we were losing 750,000 JOBS EVERY MONTH? What should he have done, NOT SPEND MONEY? That was everybody else was doing, not spending money, in that situation it is up to the federal government, as we learned during the Great Depression, to sort of become the spender of last resort. SOMEBODY had to start spending money,

      Out of time, more later…….

at 9. These great broadcasters would change the way you are thinking. You would soon be over to my side of the ilse. You need to attend the Freedon Concert with Sean and Alan and Mark, this would for sure make a Republican out of you. Oh, and you need to watch Glen Beck everyday to learn about the founding fathers of our nation and how our constitution was written to reflect in our day. Thank God for freedom of speech.
You have the right to express your views and I have the right to express mine. You are a die-hard Dem and I will be a Republican for life. May the best man win. Go Sharron Angle.

And Sandra, it just keeps getting better, now it’s Beck? I have tried, really I have, to sit through a whole 60 minutes of him before I collapse from laughter, then exhaustion, but Glen Beck? Really Sandra?

      August 22, 2010 5:54 am

Raise your hands if you think Glen Beck is deranged. And the scary part is he has millions of viewers. He has said President Obama “hates white people,” he has compared numerous administration officials to nazis and communists, he is a radio shock jock with a blackboard and an audience. And I ‘need to watch’ that Sandra? Why?

Sandra Torres
August 23, 2010 4:03 am

Yeager; The fairness doctrine would take away our freedom of
speech. We don’t want that to happen. Course some of you Dem’s would love it. This way the people would not be heard and the Government would have way to much control over it’s
citizons. We would be back in the 1940′s again. You need to study up on the Founding Fathers of our nation–Beck is real
informed about history. Don’t underestimate his knowledge on
this subject. Do you have any respect for our constitution??
Remember all the people that have sacrificed their lives to give
us this great nation we live in with our constitution as our
laws and guidelines.

    August 23, 2010 4:42 am

Sandra, do you agree with Mr. ‘real informed about history’ when he says President Obama ‘hates white people?’ Or when he compares administration officials to ‘nazis and commies?’ All of that OK with you?

If that is OK with you, if you don’t think that rhetoric is not only over-the-top but bad for our country, what exactly would somebody have to say for it not to be OK with you?

      Sandra Torres
      August 23, 2010 9:36 pm

Yeager; If Obama attended a church for 20 years with Rev. Wright at the pulpit speeking out against the whites population of this country, would you not think that this could indoctinate
the way that Obama may feel about whites. I know that it would me if I was involved in that church for so many years. That is where alot of the people became concerned. You know I am not concerned My concern is how he is running our nation
right now. Beck is teaching us about how Pres Wilson brought
into our nation a cancer called Progressive Government. This is
not what our nation was built on. Wilson tryed to get rid of the
constitution and make up his own laws. This is what Obama’s
administration is trying to do to us today. Big Government -making all people to depend on the government to support them.
Bad governing. If you don’t know history, you need to brush up on it. History has a tendancy to repeat its self. I don’t what this
to come around again. Progressive’s is the controling government. Hilary and Obama has both said that they supported it. Progressive’s what the government to have their hands into every business and every home. CONTROL. That is
why Obama has bailed out big business he thinks was to big
to fail so he would conrol the money and the workers. Get a clue. Stay away from Progressive’s “They are deep in both parties. That is why we need term limits in the House and Senate. Vote out all encumbants this year if they are going
for re-election. Vote out Harry Reid. He is the one who said we
could not win the war in Irak. He is a Progressive and loves
Big Government and for sure not for the people. Protect our
Constitution at all times. See you later Harry. I seen a dumpster

Shoot, I almost forgot about this: say Alan, I was listening in the other afternoon and I might have heard the funniest question ever heard on talk radio. You had on two Muslims and some guy called in and asked them ‘can you recite the Constitution.” LOL, I only wish one of them would have shot back ‘right after you do sir.’ ‘RECITE THE CONSTITUTION,’ which part?

    Sandra Torres
    August 23, 2010 9:43 pm

Yeager, Can you recite the Constitution. I bet most Senators or
House members can’t either and they have been in government for years. I studied it in school and have supported it for years and so should you. Alan could have done a better job on it cause he had it right in front of him. Alan is not stupid, if he asked the question then he was prepared to recite it. He is
a great broadcaster and teacher. Lighten up.

      Yeager
      August 24, 2010 4:43 am

Sandra, I can promise you, YOU can’t ‘recite the Constitution’ either, unless it is right in front of you and unless you have loads of time to kill.

What the guy could have said is ‘recite the PREAMBLE to the Constitution,’ or maybe even ‘recite the Declaration of Independence,’ but the WHOLE Constitution? Gee, that would make for great talk radio!!

And by the way Sandra, we are liberals and yes, many like to say ‘Progressives’ these days but we are still just liberals, but the truth is every piece of meaningful legislation that has been passed over the last 70 years has been passed by a Democratic president and a Democratic Congress, Social Security, civil rights, Medicare, the list is endless, all important legislation that has made a positive difference to millions of people and all passed by liberals. So you need to educate yourself about progressives and liberals madam.

Anyone catch the Danny Tarkanian interview yesterday afternoon with Alan Stock? What’s kind of funny about this, and I know this isn’t their first interview but these two had a bit of a spat at some campaign event during the primary, since Alan was supporting Sharron Angle. But I can tell Alan likes the fact that Danny boy is coming out full force against “Reid.”

Also interesting, Danny’s mother, Lois, is supporting Senator Reid. I kind of like that though, nothing wrong with being independent. But I don’t know about the rest of you, but Danny Tarkanian strikes me as not too bright. He doesn’t seem to up on national issues, ask him about Social Security for instance, and I promise you, you will get all of the cliches, none of the facts. Think I’m wrong Alan? Ask him.

Hi Sandra, looks like it’s just you and me. What’s up with that anyway? LOL

Think about it this way my new friend, since the creation of the federal income tax, I believe 1913 was the year, but ever since then what has happened to the United States of America? What was our standing in the world in 1913 and our standard of living, and what is it now, albeit with the caveat of still cleaning-up after George W Bush?

I will tell you, since then we have become the strongest, most powerful country in the history of the planet, not to mention the richest, so that being the case, I would make the argument the federal income tax, which has always been progressive, is a good thing. How about that??

It appears that KXNT is just like the Obama administration. They really don’t care about their listeners opinions. Otherwise Coast to Coast would be on at 10PM, Jack FM would still be playing music, and Alan Stock would be on in the morning. But no, now we have some useless news broadcast in the morning that does nothing but rehash the news over and over for 4 hours. Not to mention a mono toned host that has the personality of a dish rag. Guess CBS is jsut trying to figure out a way of getting out of the Vegas market. Cuz these changes are doing nothing but turning people OFF.

BILL; I agree with you on this issue with the news. Alan was
great in the morning and I miss him doing the 8 O’clock flip off. Harry got it everyday. News for 4 hours is way too much. I guess CBS is the new boss. Coast needs to come back on at 10 o’clock–I think if Alan is not going back to mornings–Mark
Lavine would be better in the morning. Is CBS tryng to do a bit
of the keeping up with competition (720 am) They went to alot
of news when they went to Fox. I don’t listen to 720 ever. Glen
Beck is the only broadcaster I like on there and he comes on

Yeager; You can pay your income taxes, I would rather keep mine. What about the flat tax? Wouldn’t that be better for everyone. What are the younger generation going to do without
social security when they get retirement age at 70. That’s the only way that maybe the government is going to save some of
that bankrupt tax in the future. Social Security is broke. Maybe the government will use genicide in the new Heath Care bill. I am
sure that this crossed their minds. Denying care to the person
who has late stage cancer or congestive heart desease to prolong their lives like they do today. No mercy will be the moto. I do hope they do away with this bill. Pick and choose who lives or dies. Thanks to Harry and Nancy. Both are going
to be without jobs in November.

    August 27, 2010 4:40 am

Sandra, I don’t believe I’ve ever read so many misguided outright myths in one paragraph in my entire life, congratulations.

Just for the record, Social Security is not “broke,” that is a myth, how can a program that has been running a huge surplus, every year, for over 20 years be “broke?” There is nothing in the health care bill which could even remotely be construed as “genicide,” that is also a myth. As is ‘picking and choosing who lives and dies,’ that is a myth. The flat tax being ‘better for everyone’ is a myth, like I said Sandra, you seem to have a gift.

I don’t know whether you actually believe any of that crap or not, none of it is true and my question I guess would be, how can a society function effectively when so many of its people are running around so misinformed?

This Hannity guy is a piece of work folks, he would try and have you believe that being ‘Sharia compliant’ means bringing the stoning of woman in the streets of America. He would have you believe that ‘Imam Rauf’ is the guy trying to make that happen. He is saying that building this Mosque in New York City would lead to the stoning of woman in America. As I said, he is some piece of work.

I have a question Sandra, I just read somewhere that around 68 percent of Nevada Republicans wish they had another candidate to run against Harry Reid. Why do you suppose Sharron Angle is so unpopular with the people who support her? How did that happen?

Another question, for anyone, what do you suppose Sharron Angle meant when she talked about ‘second amendment remedies’ in regards to grievances against the federal government? I watched a news reporter ask Ms. Angle this very question and her response was to walk away as fast as she could, so I thought since she won’t answer that question, maybe someone here can help her?

    > what do you suppose Sharron Angle meant when she talked > about ‘second amendment remedies’ in regards to
    > grievances against the federal government? maybe someone > here can help her?

    Yeager, I can help.

Your second amendments rights are not about your right to hunt, for sport or sustenance.

They are not about your right to improve your targeting by shooting up beer cans in an empty field.

They are not about your right to blow the head off a miscreant who storms your house in the dead of night.

Your second amendments rights are your right to revolution.

    And . . . they . . . know . . . it. So do you.

Hi Annie, welcome and OK, I”ll bite, “revolution” against whom? Please don’t say the federal government because if you say the federal government then I’m going to have to ask you how that might work? I don’t know if you have seen any war footage the last decade but because the US Defense budget is more than the rest of the world combined, we have weapons now that will blow your mind so I’m curious, how might this little “revolution” of yours actually work?

Sandra Torres
September 1, 2010 2:02 am

Yeager – Revolution – Impeachment of the President or Govenor
Also the voting booth and refusing to pay into the new health care package or refusing to pay high taxes by using bartering
system or self employment or trading labor. See you can have
a revolution on paper. Use your imagination. You can only put
so many citizens behind bars.

    Yeager
    September 1, 2010 5:11 am

Well that is all terrific Sandra, I mean, I guess one can define “revolution” in lots of ways but here’s the problem: I asked what your candidate for the United States Senate Sharron Angle meant when she talked about ‘second amendment remedies,’ in which ‘annie’ quickly stepped in to ‘help’ me and wrote this: “Your second amendments rights are your right to revolution.” So you can imagine my confusion, or at least what I must have thought, that she is talking about taking up arms against the federal government.

But thankfully, you have cleared that up, we just need to ‘use our imagination’ to imagine what Sharron Angle might have meant when she talked about ‘second amendment remedies’ in regards to grievances against the federal governemnt, forget the fact that the second amendment specifically talks about the rights of state militias to bear arms. Whew, I’m glad, I was beginning to worry there for a little while.

How about the fact that your candidate, Sharron Angle, seems so unpopular with her own supporters? What do you think that is about?

Do not get me wrong here, Harry Reid can still lose this election, I will acknowledge that, but I think him losing this election was a forgone conclusion a year ago and I don’t think people think that anymore. And I think a big reason for that is many people are starting to see Sharron Angle as not credible, that there was a very good reason she was twice voted ‘worst legislator’ in Nevada.

      Sandra Torres
      September 1, 2010 8:00 pm

Yeager; Are you kidding me–How much worse can a senator be than Harry Reid. What has he done for Nevada these past 5 years. Why don’t you just except that Harry is going to lose because most voters want anyone but Harry. He is the most un-popular senator in the nation next to speaker Nancy… Does not matter wheather you like Sharron Angle or not. I do! She is going to win. How many Dem’s are just not going to show up at the booth. If the truth was know most dem’s don’t want Harry either.
Most dem’s are running from the Obama Admin. Most of the dem’s don’t want his socialist propaganda. Most people for sure don’t like his associates. Take a real good look at his
socialist cabinet. Hey, your going to see just what happened in
Alaska incumbants happen to other states around the nation.

Sandra, I’m going to take a shot in the dark here and guess you were also not a fan of our 42nd president, President William Jefferson Clinton. I get the feeling you just don’t like Democrats but here’s the thing Sandra, please go back and check what our economy looked like under President Clinton. Then contrast that with 8 years of the disaster monkey, George W Bush.

And just for giggles Sandra, here’s a stat for you, 22 million jobs were created during the 8 years of President Clinton. How many were created during the 8 years of George W Bush? LOL, go check it out Sandra, you will be amazed.

So the moral here is, you can rail all you’d like against the ‘socialist’ Obama, I’d bet you were calling President Clinton a whole lot worse names than ‘socialist’ but the fact is, Democrats know how to run the economy, Republicans know how to cut rich people’s taxes and spend money. It is really that simple.
